Marci's Bio

Marci Segal, M.S. (Creativity and Change Leadership) is Canada’s first accredited creativity professional with over 20 years experience inspiring innovation. She is president and founder of creativity land inc., an innovation and creativity consultancy that cracks open new pathways for exciting new futures, serving progressive leadership and teams in corporations, associations, non-profit organizations and all levels of government. The creativity land approach provides research-based innovation and creativity tips, tools, techniques, training and support to achieve compelling results.

Marci initiated and designed the Passport to Innovation® full spectrum methodology for organizations to free imagination, engage new thinking paradigms and realize remarkable outcomes. To her credit, she orchestrated this award-winning program for a world-respected media company that springboarded their global positioning as a pioneer in the field, significantly increased client satisfaction and positively impacted staff morale.

Marci is often asked to facilitate leadership-teams to lead innovation from an affective, interpersonal approach.  She is fluent in Myers Briggs Type Indicator® inventory theory, administration and practice and leverages the personality framework (cognitive and affective processes, temperament, interaction styles, stress behaviours, and archetypal influences) to ease communication, manage relationships and motivate through engagement. 

Marci was an MBTI® Step 1 and Step 2 instrument qualifying instructor from 1993 - 2007.  She authored three books on creativity and innovation from the personality lens: Creativity and Personality Types: Tools for understanding and inspiring the many voices of creativity The Quick Guide to the Four Temperaments and Creativity: a psychological understanding of innovation , and The Quick Guide to the 16 Types in Organizations . This third book shows the creativity styles of each of the personality profiles.

Marci attended the International Center for Studies in Creativity in New York, and is the the first Canadian to earn both undergraduate and graduate degrees. She sits on the board of the American Creativity Association, is co-founder of World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21 and is an active member in the Creative Education Foundation and World Future Society. Awards include: Distinguished Leader in the Field of Creativity, Inspired Leader, Creative Education Foundation; Excellence in Innovation Award, India Innovation Summit; Alumni Achievement Award, Buffalo State College; Gold Medal for Social Innovation, Salon of Inventions and New Technologies, Ukraine.
